Suriname toad is a species belonging to Pipidae family. This species lives in freshwater environment and distributes mainly inBrazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia,French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad, Tobago, and Venezuela. Their natural habitat is wet forests, like subtropical or low-tropical areas. Some swampy areas having water that varies with flows or seasons.
